If you follow me on instagram and watch my stories, then you know that Kegan and I started our kitchen renovation. However, I’m going to backtrack a little bit because I really want to start at the beginning on this project. Our budget isn’t huge so we will be keeping the same layout – more on that in a later post but we have bought a new range so there’s that.
I’m always on the hunt for a good deal, especially when it comes to furnishing our house. So finding something to fill a large empty corner in the kitchen was no exception. When we toured our house the stagers had a chunky, square dark wood table there pushed up against the wall with 3 chairs surrounding it (check the photo below). It was a practical solution but we didn’t like crowded feel so we looked for something smaller, lighter, and modern.
Welcome to The Cream City! I’m Lory. I’ve had a passion for home design since a preteen watching Trading Spaces (which just got renewed for another season! Although I’ve never seen the reboot). In the Spring of 2017 my husband, Kegan, and I purchased a 110+ year old home in Milwaukee. After years of DIY projects in apartments and helping my parents renovate my childhood home, I’m excited to finally have my own house to test out my ideas.
